We do recommend the champagne lining for this shade as it complements the fabric wonderfully and adds a warm glow, however if you require more light to come through the lampshade you should opt for the standard white lining.

DRUM LAMPSHADE STANDARD SIZES

This beautiful drum lampshade is made to order and available in 2 different fabrics and 5 different sizes; 40cm, 35cm, 30cm, 25cm and 20cm drums. Both designed by the lovely Louise at Olive and Daisy, have a look at her website and you’ll be spoilt for choice from her beautiful range of fabrics.

Each of our beautiful lampshades are handmade to order in our Scottish Highlands workshop. We do our very best to have each one carefully made, packaged and sent to you within 2 weeks of your order.

Our recommendation;
20cm (height 16cm) for a small bedside table lamp

25cm (height 18cm) for a table lamp

30cm (height 20cm) for a smaller coffee table lamp or standard bedside lamp

35cm (height 20cm) perfect for a coffee table lamp or standard bedside lamp

40cm (height 24cm) ideal for a larger side table lamp, floor light or ceiling shade

LININGS

We offer a choice of fire-retardant linings; Champagne gives a warming glow, Silver a contemporary cool finish and the standard White lining which allows more light through the shade so you can see the texture and fibre of the fabric.

The Earth Friendly Flax Plant

Flax, the plant from which Linen is made, is also extremely versatile. Every part of the flax plant has traditionally been used to create a worthwhile product – nothing is wasted, and production is cost effective. A common by-product of flax is Linseed Oil, which is great for wood preservation, especially in varnishes. Flax is resilient and can grow in poor soil, using far less water in its consumption than cotton.
